Activités de recherche
Le thème général est la modélisation par des méthodes multi-échelles de phénomènes physiques se déroulant au sein de milieux hétérogènes, en régime statique ou dynamique. Le traitement du changement d’échelle est effectué soit par des méthodes d’homogénéisation de milieux périodiques, continus ou discrets, soit par des approches auto-cohérentes. A ces travaux théoriques sont associés des développements expérimentaux. Les champs d’application sont :
- la rhéologie de milieux composites tels que les mélanges sable-argile, les bétons durant la prise, les enrobés bitumineux, les fluides à bulles,
- l’acoustique des milieux à simple et double porosité (matériaux absorbants),
- la dynamique des structures, le génie parasismique, la vulnérabilité et la sismologie urbaine,
- la mécanique des milieux continus généralisés (i.e. incluant les effets de microstructures) conduisant à des descriptions non locales en statique et en dynamique (apparition de la diffraction) pour des milieux micromorphes.
