How to get to ENTPE

Address: 3 rue Maurice Audin - 69518 VAULX en VELIN Cedex. ENTPE is located 30 minutes from the center of Lyon.
When you arrive, please ask the receptionist for information.

How to get to ENTPE

ENTPE has 2 bicycle shelters, protected from the rain but not guarded.
There is also a Vélo'v station on rue Maurice-Audin, at the foot of the Charlie-Chaplin cultural center and close to the town hall.

>> From Part Dieu and south of the conurbation

A cycle path runs along the T3 tramway line from Part Dieu station to La Soie station and beyond. The cycle path crosses the canal at Pont de la Soie, continues along avenue Paul Marcellin to the east of the campus and then along avenue Salvador Allende to the north.
Estimated time: 30 minutes from the station.

>> From Part Dieu and the Brotteaux district

A cycle track / cycle lane runs along Cours Lafayette and then Rue du 4 août 1789, recently extended to cross the ring road and then the canal, and reach the campus via a track on Avenue Gabriel Péri or by taking the C3 rue Paul Teste / rue Cuzin.
Estimated time: 25 minutes from the station.

>> From the Brotteaux district and the center of Villeurbanne

Cross the tracks via rue Récamier / rue des Emeraudes. A cycle path runs along boulevard Emile Zola (Charpennes - Cusset), then crosses the ring road and the canal.
Estimated time: 25 minutes.

Alternatively, bike lane rue Gabriel Péri / Avenue Salengro from Charpennes, crossing the ring road and canal via a bike path rue de la Feyssine, or with cars pont de la Croix-Luizet, then rue Lucette et René Desgrand, north of St-Jean, rue Ernest Renan, finally Promenade Lénine from place Guy Môquet to Mas du Taureau.
Estimated time: 25 minutes

Alternatively, cross Parc de la Tête d'Or and Campus de la Doua to Pont de Croix-Luizet.

>> From the banks of the Rhône and the peninsula

Join one of the above itineraries.
Estimated time: 40 minutes.

Take the cycle path along the banks of the Rhône and the Parc de la Feyssine to the Croix-Luizet bridge.
Estimated time: 45 minutes.

Please note that from Monday October 16 to 2026, roadworks will be carried out on avenue Maurice Thorez in Vaulx-en-Velin.
C3 and 52 lines will be diverted in both directions.

Get off at “Jules Favre” Bus C3 direction “Vaulx-en-Velin La Grappinière”.
Stop at “Vaulx-Hôtel de Ville - Campus”,
then follow “Planétarium piétons”.

Metro A direction “Vaulx-en-Velin la Soie”,
Laurent Bonnevay” stop (see below).

Bus C3 or C8, “Vaulx - Hôtel de Ville-Campus” stop,
then follow “Planétarium piétons”,
or
Bus 57, “ENTPE” stop.

>> From St Exupéry airport

Streetcar "Rhônexpress" - - stop “Vaulx-en-Velin La Soie”,
then bus C8 direction “Vaulx-en-Velin résistance” - stop “Vaulx - Hôtel de Ville - Campus”,
then follow “Planétarium piétons”,
or
Bus 47 direction Meyzieu Zi, get off at the terminus. 
then take tramway T3 towards Gare Part-Dieu Villette. 
Get off at “Décines Centre”. Take bus 57 towards Laurent Bonnevay and get off at “ENTPE”.

Exit “Villeurbanne Cusset/Vaulx-en-Velin center”,
follow Hôtel de Ville.

>> From "Rocade Est N346"

Exit at « Vaulx-en-Velin/Décines-Les Marais », follow signs for Vaulx-en-Velin,
then follow ENTPE - Ecole d'Architecture.

>> From the highwayDe l'autoroute

  • from Paris (A6), direction « Marseille, Rocade Est », exit « Vaulx-la-Rize »
  • from Geneva (A42) direction « Marseille, Rocade Est », exit « Vaulx-la-Rize »
  • from Grenoble or Chambéry (A43), on the ring road, direction “Bourg-Genève”, exit “Vaulx-en-Velin center”,
    or via the “Rocade Est” towards Paris, exit at “Vaulx-la-Rize”
  • arriving from Marseille (A7) or St-Etienne, at « Chasse-sur-Rhône »: direction Paris via « Rocade Est », exit « Vaulx-la-Rize ».

In all cases, in Vaulx en Velin, follow the “ENTPE - Ecole d'Architecture” signs.

On-campus parking, entrance via rue Maurice Audin, or parking at the intersection of rue Hô Chi Minh and rue Condorcet.
Parking on avenue Allende, north of the campus.
Bluely parking in front of the Charlie Chaplin cultural center, rue Maurice Audin.
